WRITER & DIRECTOR

Pierluigi Gigi Malavasi, AIC is a Director of Photography and emerging Director based in Los Angeles. Originally from Ferrara, Italy, Gigi has built a diverse career spanning feature films and television. His credits include UNDER THE STARS starring Toni Collette and Andy Garcia, ETERNAL RETURN (TIFF 2025) with Kit Harington and Naomi Scott, MIRANDA'S VICTIM (Hulu), DR. BIRD'S ADVICE FOR SAD POETS (Hulu), TALES (BET), GHOST HOUSE (Amazon Prime), and THE LONG NIGHT (Apple TV+). Known for his cinematic visual style and strong storytelling instincts, Gigi is now expanding his creative vision into directing while continuing to work as a cinematographer.

Inspired by true events,  Daughter of Noise is a deeply personal story of a young woman who must confront the past she tried to outrun in order to reclaim her future and find the freedom to finally forgive.
